New Decade, New Team Members

We are starting off the new decade with new team members at L.K. Benson and Company. Over the past few years we have made great strides towards becoming more “paperless” and will be welcoming our first remote employee this year. We also have two very experienced CPA's joining us just in time for tax season and two great new interns from Towson University.

Camille Phillips (camille@lkbenson.com) has joined our team as our first remote employee! She will be working for us from her home in Lander, Wyoming, where she lives with her husband and three kids. Camille is a CPA with ten years of experience preparing and reviewing tax returns at a medium sized regional firm. She is currently pursuing her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) credential and will be working part-time for us this year as she works through her Capstone financial planning course. 

Susan Beaty (susan@lkbenson.com) has been a bookkeeper and tax preparer for nearly 40 years.  After working at a Houston CPA firm as the person in charge of client bookkeeping and payroll, she returned to college and took night school courses to get her CPA certification.  She has experience with partnership, trust, individual and private foundation returns as well as having served as a controller for a local engineering firm. She has lived in Maryland since 1997, when she moved here to marry her high school sweetheart after he found her on the internet.

Lonny Tiedeman (lonny@lkbenson.com) is a Maryland-registered CPA with over 30 years of experience in individual and estate income tax preparation. He graduated from Towson University with a degree in accounting and has worked as controller as well as for public accounting firms throughout his career. He lives in Pikesville with his wife of 30 years and has two grown children. He is a huge music fan and loves attending live concerts.

Tyler Marriner (tyler@lkbenson.com) is a senior Accounting major at Towson University graduating in May. A former member of the ROTC and an avid CrossFitter and Olympic lifter, Tyler will be assisting with the initial tax preparation work through tax season.

Victoria Ball (victoria@lkbenson.com) is a senior Business major at Towson University with a concentration in Project Management and a minor in Finance. She has previously worked for Caruso Homes and the Towson University Bursar's Office and has held leadership roles within her sorority. She will be handling various administrative duties in both our tax and investment departments this spring.

We are very excited to welcome Camille, Susan, Lonny, Tyler and Victoria to the team and we know you will enjoy working with them.
